wikiHow:Why We wikiHow


wikiHow has one main mission :

By creating the world’s most helpful instructions, we will empower every person on the planet to learn how to do anything.

Reaching this goal involves many people working together in many different roles, and it wouldn't be possible without wikiHow's diverse and committed community of volunteers. Some people choose to contribute to wikiHow anonymously , while others create accounts, get involved in all kinds of editing tasks , take on additional roles and responsibilities around the site, participate in community discussions and decision-making , and even attend our annual meetups .

Not only are there a lot of different ways people contribute, but there are a lot of reasons why they wikiHow, too. Here are some of the ways people connect personally with the wikiHow mission, in their own words:
