All About Yin and Yang

In ancient Chinese philosophy, yin and yang (or yinyang) refers to a self-perpetuating cycle of opposing but interconnected and complementary parts: push and pull, dark and light, night and day, male and female energies—all of these pairings are examples of yang and yin, respectively.

They may be opposite, but they suffer without one another. According to this philosophy, the creation and evolution of the natural universe follows the dynamic yingyang cycle.
