Canceling HBO Max depends on how you're subscribed. If you signed up for Max on the website, you can cancel it there. However, if you subscribed for HBO Max through a third-party, such as Amazon, Apple, or your internet provider, you'll need to cancel it there. Here's how to cancel an HBO Max subscription on all platforms.
Unsubscribing from HBO Max
- Log into https://max.com/subscription and select Cancel Your Subscription . Select Continue to Cancel .
- If you're being billed by a third-party, you'll see it here. To cancel, go to the third-party's website and log in.
- If you get your subscription through an Internet, TV, or mobile provider, visit your provider's website.

- If you're using a mobile device, tap your profile picture and tap Subscription.
- If you're using a TV, select the cog icon and select Subscription .

Select Cancel Your Subscription . This is at the bottom of the page.
- If you don't see this option, your subscription is managed by a third-party. You can see who bills you at the top.
- See the Third-Party Billing section for instructions on how to cancel your subscription.

Click Continue to Cancel . You may need to select this twice.
- Your subscription will be canceled at the end of your billing period.
