Do you want to edit the color of your text in Photoshop? This can easily be done with the Type Tool. If you can't change the color, it may have already been rasterized. In this case, you'll need to use the Paint Bucket tool. Here's how to change text color in Photoshop.

Quick Steps

  1. Select the Horizontal Type Tool in the toolbar.
  2. Drag and highlight the text you want to change.
  3. Click the color swatch box in the top toolbar.
  4. Select a new color.
  5. Click OK .

    Open a project in Adobe Photoshop . You can change the text color when adding new text or editing existing text .

    Even if I try to change the color by the above mentioned methods, the color of the text is just varying through shades of gray. What can I do?

    Try to close the document and create a new one. On the display dialog box, change the color mode type to CYMK or RGB (CS6 Advanced). If it persists, type something, highlight it, Press CTRL plus "T" and choose a color from the dialog box.
