Advice needed on dating a Capricorn man

Just learned the guy that I've been seeing is a Capricorn and this is the first time I've ever dated one. I have no idea what to really expect from him so lay it all out for me. Give me the good, the bad, and the odd things to expect from him so I know what I'm getting into. I really like him, so any tips for making him stick around are a plus!

There are so many other factors that I would consider aside from the fact that the person was a Capricorn, but they do have some common traits. They're going to be a little more practical as opposed to romantic and idealistic. They're going to value realness, authenticity, and directness, rather than overly-positive romantic gestures. He is going to potentially be ambitious, and care deeply about his career. So give him space to pursue his interests and ambitions, and also give him the patience to pursue them at his own pace. But to give him the time to move slowly and intentionally, in a structured way, is important. Help reinforce his capacities so that when he's experiencing self-doubt, you appear as a supportive force in his life and not expecting him to be something more.

On the negative side, they might be afraid of rejection. A Capricorn might be slower to make a move, like they'll take a little longer and plan it out a little more in advance instead of being spontaneous. A Capricorn would probably move from their head versus their heart, and they would have a lot of doubts about whether the person might like them back.

I think what my Capricorn man found attractive about me was my ambition and intelligence. I'm the kind of person who knows what she wants and works hard to get it. I have a successful career, am financially stable, and take care of myself. On our first few dates, we had many intellectually stimulating conversations. We're both well-read and articulate. We push each other to be the best versions of ourselves.

My ex is a capricorn. He is very responsible and hardworking but he'd get lost in his work and sometimes didn't make time for me. I didn't feel like I was a priority in his life. At first, I tried to be a "good girlfriend" and support him but I realized that he should care about me too. I'm sure he's successful now but I need a man who can balance his work and his relationship.
