When setting up an astrology consultation business, I think the most important thing is sharing content that provides value. For example, creating infographics that explain astrology in a simple, digestible way is a great start.

Another approach is sharing your personal insights on well-known astrology topics. For example, everyone talks about Mercury retrograde, so you could create an informational post explaining what it is and how it affects people. But you could also share your personal take, like, "I don’t think Mercury retrograde is a big deal, and here’s why."

That kind of unique perspective adds value. For me, part of my brand involves making zodiac sign jokes that are so specific that people feel personally called out—in a fun way.

Astrology has a stigma, so building credibility is key. You need to meet people where they are—give them information that hooks them and shows them you know what you’re talking about. For me, I'll often post “hot takes” online—random but insightful thoughts about signs or trends I noticed. People would read them, resonate, and start following me. Over time, they’d think, “Wow, she really knows her stuff—I should get a reading.” Giving people a taste of your perspective is really important. Free content helps build that bridge, whether it's YouTube videos or social media posts. For example, I do pick-a-card tarot readings on YouTube. They’re not personalized, but they still resonate with people. And when they do, people want to go deeper and book a session. When I give out a little info, I remind people, “This is just general. The real magic is in your individual chart.” That little teaser gets them thinking, “Wait, what’s in my chart?”
