Kit Connor posted on Twitter in October 2022 that he is bisexual. Connor plays Nick, a high school sports star who is bisexual, on the Netflix show Heartstopper
. At the time, fans of the show thought Kit Connor was queerbaiting because they thought he was a straight man playing a queer role. To deny the queerbaiting rumors, Connor felt forced to come out before he wanted to.
Connor says he would have preferred to come out a different way, but he doesn't regret his decision. He still keeps his romantic relationships private and has not been romantically linked to anyone else.
