Zodiac relationships - do they matter?

Some people believe that your astrological chart (not just your primary zodiac or sun sign, but your entire birth chart) shapes your personality and, therefore, who you're most compatible with romantically. However, there's no scientific evidence that supports this theory—that doesn't mean it's not legit, but astrology is only one way of thinking about romantic compatibility.

In fact, many people who believe in astrology use it in relationships as a general guide to help them understand how different signs might complement one another and what challenges to look out for, rather than as a hard-and-fast list of rules about who and who not to date. If the person you're dating (or interested in dating) is into astrology, it may be worth learning a bit about your zodiac sign and theirs, but if it's not something that resonates with you, feel free to disregard it. In the end, we encourage you to date who you like and feel compatible with, regardless of what your birth charts say.

Each birth chart is like a snowflake, each human being is completely individual, and their sun sign gives only a tiny piece of the overall information about that person. So if, say, you've got a Capricorn woman in front of you and you apply general advice about Capricorn, it may not serve you because there are so many other things to think about in terms of that person's astrological makeup. Be careful about making generalizations based on somebody's sun sign because there's so much more to know about the person.
