What does it mean if I keep dreaming about someone?
So I bumped into somebody last week and thought nothing of it, and boom, there they were in my dreams the last few nights. They really haven't been on my mind while I'm awake, but it's weird that they keep showing up while I'm dreaming, right? I'm a little freaked out tbh. Why is this specific person all of a sudden coming into my dreams and what does it mean?

When people have dreams, there's probably a reason those dreams are connecting the people to one another. It's not just about the mind and it's not just about some random occurrences in your dreams. The dream might also be a way for us to play out certain things in our consciousness before we actually interact with each other again. If you find out something through a dream and you're not aware of it yet, then it might be pointing to something that might happen later that you're not necessarily privy to yet but will likely become known to you as time goes on and you're closer to that timeframe.

Dreams are always going to tell us something we don't know or maybe something we know but we don't want to know, but they won't just repeat something that we are already comfortable with.
If you dream about somebody that you don't see every day, that you haven't seen in six months or two years or two decades, that person in that dream almost certainly represents some aspect of you that you've projected onto this person. So, this person is symbolically portraying an aspect of your personality.
Ask yourself, who is that person? What is that person like? What are the things you like about the person? What are the things you don't like about that person? How are you like that person? How are you different from that person?
Remember, they will represent a mostly unconscious part of you, so dig deep and try to uncover what your subconscious is attaching to them.

If you keep dreaming about someone, there's likely to be an unresolved problem with them. That unresolved problem could be, “I just want to be closer with them.” For example, when we have a crush on somebody, we might dream about them all the time. And the only "problem", so to speak, with them is “I want to spend more time with them.” So, my mind is rewarding me and giving me my desire by allowing me to dream about spending time with them. To put it very simply, dreaming about them is communicating to you, “My mind is trying to connect with an idea that they represent”.

When known people show up in dreams, they often represent the character traits we associate with them. So if I think of that person as, say, super outgoing, confident, and inspiring—then in the dream, they might symbolize those traits within me that are ready to emerge.
Another layer: the person might be tied to a particular time in your life. If they’re from high school, for example, then the version of you that existed during that time might be resurfacing. Your subconscious is saying: “This part of me wants attention again.”

First of all, just remember that dreams can have many different meanings. In general, I encourage people to look at their dreams and ask themselves, “Okay, does this represent some part of my life?” For your case, think about the different dreams you've had about this person; you might see some kind of repetition there that might reveal a bigger story.

Context always matters in a dream. If you're getting the same particular person again and again, the first thing you have to keep in mind about dreams is that everything in your dream and everyone in your dream is a symbol. They represent a part of you.
I always say, dreams are messages from you, to you, about you, in order to improve you. So, to figure out the person in your dream, ask yourself, "What stands out to you about this person? Is it a memory you have of them? Is it something about their personality?" Then ask yourself, "How do I see myself in this? How can I identify some part of me with this person?" That will explain why you are dreaming about them.
For example, if you keep dreaming of this kid from third grade, maybe he was the shy kid, who never spoke up, never raised his hand. That could mean: "Are you shy? Or are you being shy right now?"

In the past when I have dreamt about someone, I took it as a sign to reach out and check on them. The last time this happened to me I reached out to a friend I hadn't heard from in a while and she was actually having a rough time, so she appreciated hearing from me.

A friend introduced me to one of his friends, who was about to go away. Without realizing it, that friend later sent me pictures from his trip. At the time, I didn’t remember a dream I had about someone with an unfamiliar face. But after seeing the pictures, I recalled the dream, and I realized it was about him. Now, he’s a friend of mine.

My dreams have been somewhat similar. I like this guy who I know and he's been showing up in my dreams a lot lately and in half of them he just randomly shows up in them, and he has a crush on me in them. Irl, I'll randomly find him staring at me when I'm not looking, or smiling at me, or sitting really close to me Today he told me that I had a deep voice after I finished talking about something, and he smiled at me after he said it, so I think he might've meant it as a compliment(...?) idrk what to do about it though. I think I really like him, and he might like me, but I feel too scared to confess.

Go for it. If you like him then let him know. Buy not letting him know your depriving yourself of what could be your true love and soul mate. Follow your intuition and you won't go wrong.

I believe dreams are random events, people, things, ect. that you see or interact with throughout the day merged into one. So, for example, if you saw a cat, then a teacher, you might dream about a cat-teacher. It sounds stupid, but true.

I don't think dreams really mean anything. They might be a window into what's on your mind but beyond that I don't look into my dreams that much

I think it's up to you to decide what the dreams mean! They might mean any of these things:
- You keep dreaming about your crush. This could be a sign to ask them out or get to know them better!
- You keep dreaming about a loved one who passed away. This could be a sign that you miss them. Depending on your spiritual beliefs, the loved one could be watching out for your.
- You keep dreaming about an ex. This could be a sign that you're not over them and need to work on moving on.
- You keep dreaming about a friend. This could be a sign that you need to reconnect with them or check in on them.

What was happening in your dreams with this person? I think that will tell you something. Were you fighting them? Were they far off in the distance? The context can make a lot of difference.

Hi everyone, I had a dream where I asked my partner if he liked someone else and he said yes in my dream and I was shattered. We made up in the dream. He then reassured me that nothing will come between us. Please let know what your thoughts are.

I said no because last night I had a dream of my friend sliding on a wet carpet and got hurt and it didn't happen recently and I don't think it'll ever happen in my future. Does that make sense?

I've had dreams since I was young. The dreams were specific and the outcome in waking world was specific to the dream. Since about eight years old. And the first dream I remember, and with total clarity today, as it was, when I was a baby in diapers.
I'm certain there must be someone else who remembers dreaming as a baby. I would like to connect with such a person.
