How to Mod the Memory Stick Pro Duo

This modification will allow you to use the Memory Stick PRO Duo on card readers that require an adapter.

It's very helpful if you lost your adapter or don't have one. It may also work if you push the memory stick in until it reads it. But if not, try the following.

You may wish to substitute the metal paper clip for a non conductive "stick" like a plastic knife or a strip cut from a credit card (you can finally make use of those fake credit cards you get in the mail with those offers).

Scotch tape produces a lot of static! You may cause ESD damage to your memory stick using this method. Use "Kapton" tape (by DuPont) instead.

It might crack and break your memory card--there's a slim chance, but there is the risk.
