  • Question
How long did it take you? I've been trying for 10 minutes and still haven't even seen it!
    Acebob11
    Community Answer
It took me around 15 minutes. Normally, Feebas has a 1% encounter rate, but if the water is rippling, its rate is still only 5%.
  • Question
What can I do if I have been trying to catch a Feebas for 30 minutes?
    Community Answer
All you can do is stay persistent. Keep trying, and take a break if you must.
  • Question
    Can I use Sharpedo?
    Acebob11
    Community Answer
Yes, but as it goes faster it might scare away the ripple Pokemon, which could make you lose a Feebas.
  • Question
Can I soft reset in front of the ripple by saving in front of it?
    Community Answer
Yes, as long as you are not in the water. If you are then it won’t be rippling, therefore decreasing your chances of encountering a Feebas.
  • Question
There are more fishing spots that could ripple and that could be accessed in Brooklet Hill. Does it mean that Feebas can only be caught in a specific rippling spot out of those that exist?
    Acebob11
    Community Answer
Feebas can be found at all ripples on Brooklet Hill. I find this ripple to be the easiest. The ripple in the picture is the wrong one, however.
  • Question
Is there a specific ripple I could go to?
    Community Answer
Sadly, no. In all ripples Feebas only has a 5% chance, and 1% without ripples. However, if none of the canyons/fishing spots are rippling, Always bring a Pokemon with the ability Sticky Hold or Suction Cups. This drastically decreases the message "Nothing seems to be biting..." on non-rippling water.
  • Question
Where is the right spot to catch these Pokemon?
    Community Answer
The best way would be to go to rippling water in, as mentioned, the Wela Volcano Park. This changes your chances of finding Feebas from 1% to 5%. As mentioned in another Q&A, no spot gives you better odds than the other. I recommend using Lapras to avoid scaring away rippling Pokemon.
  • Question
Couldn't I just use GTS or wonder trade?
    Victoria
    Top Answerer
Yes, you can, however that process may take longer than simply catching the Feebas, especially if rare Pokémon are asked for in return on the GTS, or you simply don't have luck in wonder trade.
  • Question
In Pokemon Sun and Moon, can Feebas be called in?
    Community Answer
As of yet, no. Generally the most frequent emergency calls result in Magikarps, and sometimes a Gyrados as well.
  • Question
Is there more than one fishing spot where Feebas can be found?
    Victoria
    Top Answerer
Feebas can only be found at the fishing spots on Brooklet Hill. Keep in mind that since its encounter rate is relatively low, finding one may take you awhile.
  • Question
    Are there any faster methods?
    Victoria
    Top Answerer
You can try Link or Wonder trading, but even that may take awhile. The best thing to do is just keep trying at the fishing spot, and eventually, you should catch a Feebas.
