QuestionHow do I stop seeing my actual name in the "Comments publicly as my personal name" section on YouTube?Community AnswerTo stop seeing your actual name you'd have to change the settings for your account and change your name. The name will always show up, but if you don't want your real name shown, then you can change it to something else.

QuestionIf I delete a comment I made, will the replies to it also be deleted?Community AnswerYes, all the replies in the comment will also be deleted if you delete your comment.

QuestionHow do I delete a comment someone else left under my comment?lily borchCommunity AnswerThat reply to your comment can only be deleted if it is inappropriate, such as including bullying or harassment, hate speech or graphic violence, and more. To report the comment, first, click on the colon symbol on the right (:) then click Report (on Mobile), or Report spam or abuse (on a desktop), then select Report. The YouTube moderation team should soon delete the comment and whoever posted that reply should get punished.

QuestionWhy aren't the comments I reported deleted yet? How many accounts need to report that user?Community AnswerThe comment is most likely not in violation of the community guidelines. Don't create multiple accounts just to report, as this can lead to YouTube deleting your account.

QuestionHow can I delete all my comments on YouTube at once?Community AnswerOn a computer, go to your history and click "Comments" and you can see a list of every comment you posted. There isn't a way to mass delete them but you can keep pressing the X on each one and it can delete them.

QuestionCan someone ban people from leaving comments on their videos?Community AnswerYes. Go to your channel's dashboard and click "Settings" on the sidebar to the left. From there click "Community" and copy + paste the URL of the channel you want blocked in the "Hidden users" box. When a user is blocked, that means they can't post comments on any of your videos, and if they attempt, the comment will not show up. They won't receive any message that says they are blocked. This won't affect outside replies though. If someone replies to your comment on someone else's video, their comment will not be hidden and there is nothing you can do about that.

QuestionHow do I remove a hateful comment done by someone on my video?Community AnswerJust block the user and delete the comment the same way you would do to your own comment. If the comment violates YouTube's policy, then report it.

QuestionI tried to report someone who has been harassing me in the comments but every time I report, nothing happens. I also tried issuing separate complaints under the different categories. What should I do?Community AnswerThe reason why nothing is happening is most likely because the user isn't actually violating the YouTube terms of service. They are just being mildly annoying. If the user is commenting on your own videos, then you can block them from your channel's dashboard within the "Community" settings and typing their URL into the "Hidden Users" section. That should stop them from commenting on your videos. But if the user is harassing you on videos that are not your own, you can't do anything. Your best option is to simply ignore them; trolls are desperate for attention and when ignored, they will get bored and move onto something else.

QuestionCan you delete someone else’s comment?Community AnswerOnly if it's on your video. If it's on someone else's video, you can't do anything about it. You can report a comment and if it breaks the rules, YouTube will delete it.

QuestionI reported a hateful comment, but the comment was still there when I came back to the same video. Is there something wrong with YouTube?Community AnswerNo, it just means that they're busy right now. They'll take action against the comment soon if it breaks the rules. A comment that is reported will not disappear right away. You'll have to give it some time before anything happens.
