Can you completely dye it? For me it leaves the knee caps, middle of hat and bottom of boots brown. Can you dye these parts or are they stuck as brown?

Unfortunately, these parts of the armor stay like this. No matter what color you dye the armor, these brown parts will remain the same. This can easily be fixed by using a texture pack that would make the entire armor the color you want.
