  • Question
A guy approached me and told me he loved me, I was scared so I turned him down, now I'm in love with him. What do I do?
    Community Answer
If the guy still likes you, tell him what you just said. Tell him that you were scared and didn't know what to do, so you automatically turned him down, but now you've accepted that you have feelings for him.
  • Question
How do I approach a boy I like?
    Community Answer
If I were you I wouldn't just approach a guy out of knowhere and say that you like him. If you want to approach a guy you have a crush on, first take it slow and become friends, get to know the guy more, and find common interests. Then after being his friend for awhile, find a place where you can be alone so you can tell him that you like him. Of course, if he reacts badly, don't continue because it's not worth it. If he reacts in a positive way, that's great, but no matter what give him space and let it take its course.
  • Question
Will someone ever love me? I am 15 and afraid.

Just be yourself, be patient, and focus on your goals, interests, and self-improvement. Eventually you'll probably meet the right person, whether in your teens or in your twenties or later.

  • Question

    Community Answer
First of all, there are other gay people at your school, they just aren't out either. Eventually they will be. You might look into LGBTQ youth groups in your area, chances are there's at least one. There are many national organizations with local chapters. Try googling "LGBTQ youth group [your area]."

  • Question

    Community Answer

  • Question
How can I find a boyfriend if I am a virgin and have never even kissed someone? My family is homophobic.
    Community Answer
The best things in life come when you expect them the least. As hard as it is to keep patience, you may not be ready for a relationship (especially a secret one) and it may be better to wait a bit. Unless you are comfortable with having a secret relationship, you shouldn't look for boyfriend. Such a relationship will just feed on your insecurities and give you one more secret to worry about. Just live your life, improve yourself, and look for a boyfriend once you are independent of your family and ready to come out. If you can't accept yourself, it will be hard for someone else to accept you.
  • Question
How can I best find out if another person is gay at my school?
    Community Answer
If your school has an LGBTQ+ club, then see if they're in the group. However, they may still be a straight ally. You could check social media -- many people have their sexualities in their bios. However, the best thing would to befriend them, then simply ask. They still may refuse to answer, however. If that happens, do not try to push the issue.

    Jordan_88
    Community Answer
If you find it likely no one at your school is gay or bi, consider looking for LGBTQ youth groups in your community, or looking online/using dating apps. Just make sure you are safe, someone should always know where you are going, especially when meeting a stranger.
  • Question
If I know the guy is gay/bi and I know he has a crush on me, how do I let him know I have a crush on him too?
    Community Answer
Just tell him how you feel, or if you're shy, tell one of his friends that you like him, most likely it will get back to him. If you want to be more subtle, make a flirtatious remark, make excuses to touch him while talking to him, smile and make a lot of eye contact. He should be able to read these signals.
  • Question

    Community Answer

    Community Answer
Relationships aren't supposed to be like cheap toys you can pick up from the store around the corner. A strong relationship should come naturally. Be patient. Be yourself and don't rush into anything, dating websites are helpful but not necessary. You can do plenty of things without being in a relationship and you can go a little longer. It's worth the wait.
  • Question
How can I support LGBT rights if it is illegal to be gay in my country?
    Community Answer
Well, how old you are will determine how you can act against it. If you're in school, then you may be able to start a private club, with anyone one who is LGBTQ+. Wait for it to develop, and maybe in the future, the rules will change, but otherwise there's not much you can do about it.

    Community Answer
Check out their profile to find things you have in common and talk with him about those things. Compliment him. Like his posts and/or retweet him (sometimes - don't come on too strong). Send him something that reminded you of him with a cute note - "made me think of you," for example.

  • Question
I live in the Bible Belt in TN. Will I ever find love in high school? I am a freshman.
    Tom De Backer
    Top Answerer
Yes, of course you will. We're all like iron filings: as soon as a magnet passes by, we cannot resist its attraction. So if you know what you feel, just live your life. Be yourself, make friends, have fun, enjoy the days - spring is here. Remember, you don't need to find all the magnets - one magnet is enough. And when he comes by, you will definitely feel it.
  • Question
I want to tell my family I'm gay but I'm too scared, what do I do?
    Community Answer
Coming out always looks to be stressful. Sometimes family members aren't used to the fact that one of their own is LGBTQ+. Wait for the right moment, or tell them you need to talk to them in private. If you gather up the courage to tell them, I'm certain they'll be proud that you got the courage to go up and address your sexuality to them. If they react badly, it's OK, that's normal. Give them some time and they will learn to adjust to your lifestyle, and in the long-run, they will eventually be proud of you for telling them instead of keeping it a secret.
  • Question
I'm 15 and have lived my life in a small Christian school. I'm bisexual and still in the closet, but I'm moving to a bigger school where there are probably other gay guys. What do I do? I'm scared!
    Community Answer
It sounds like this could be good for you to get to a bigger school! You will meet all sorts of people, and because it is not Christian, people will likely be more open about their sexualities. There may even be a gay-straight alliance or LGBT club of sorts. Never be ashamed of who you are. The world is so much bigger than one small Christian school.
  • Question
I like a guy at school, we're pretty close, but I'm scared that if I ask him out then I'll ruin our friendship if he turns me down. What should I do?
    Community Answer
If you ask him out, it will definitely make your friendship a bit awkward afterwards, but you should still try. You can repair your friendship if he doesn't like you that way.
  • Question
I live in an Islamic country which is 100% homophobic. I'm gay or bisexual, but I don't know if I should date someone or not, I am afraid that if I do I might get exposed, and that's a disaster.
    Community Answer
If there is a possibility that you could get hurt (or worse) if people found out about your sexuality, you absolutely shouldn't try to date someone. Try to remember that you don't have to live this way forever. Look into ways you could potentially move out of the country. Perhaps you could go to college in Europe or the U.S.?
