  • Question
Why are the centers of my Brussels sprout plants all wrinkled?
    Community Answer
It's hard to say for sure without knowing any other possible signs of problems with your plants (like wilted leaves or discoloration), but it's possible that you have either over- or under-watered your plants.

Can I replant the stalk and get more sprouts?
    Community Answer

  • Question

Brussels sprouts are vegetables, which means if you leave the stalk in the ground they will grow flowers and seed. So yes, you can technically get seeds from the stalk.
  • Question
Will brussels sprouts do well in a container garden?
    Community Answer
Yes, they can grow in a container garden. Just make sure that the depth is at least 10 inches and filled with well-drainage soil.
  • Question
Do I pull the leaves on the brussels sprouts off or leave them on until harvest?
    Community Answer
When the sprouts have matured about half way, remove almost all of the plants leaves leaving a palm tree looking head. Break/cut the leaves about 1/2in-1in from the stalk to avoid damage to the sprouts. This allows the plant to continue absorbing sunlight while diverting nutrients to the growing sprouts.
