Your dog's favorite park is always a great option, especially if your dog loves being outside. You can decorate the space with ribbons or a cute arch, dress the dogs in adorable outfits, and offer dog-friendly treats like whipped cream, cookies, or frozen yogurt cups. If your dog is more of an indoor pup, consider hosting at home where they feel safe and relaxed. You could even book a pet-friendly venue, like a dog cafe or a community center that's pet friendly. Remember to keep your dog’s personality in mind and plan an event that suits their temperament. A small backyard gathering with some close furry friends might be ideal if they easily become overwhelmed. The goal is to create a space where they’ll feel happy and loved while having a memorable celebration.
  • Question
My Shih Tzu and my friend's Shih Tzu are getting married, how should I invite the guests?
    Community Answer
Invite them as you would if it were your own wedding, but you could send out the invitations with a picture of both of them together or paw prints or something related.
  • Question
I know this sounds a bit silly, but should I get them rings?
    Jaylena Vickers
    Community Answer
You could, for decoration, but don't actually put them on the dogs. You might consider getting special collars that can act as substitutes for the rings.
  • Question
Could I use bracelets for the rings?
    Community Answer
Yes, although the dogs might chew the bracelets off, so a special collar might be a better choice.
  • Question
Is it possible for dogs to date? Is there an article for that?
    Community Answer
If you want your dog to "date," you should just let it make a new friend. If your friend has a dog around the same age as yours, let them spend time together at dog parks or each other's houses. That's the closest a dog will get to friendly dating.
  • Question
Should my parents and I make my guest list now?
    Community Answer
Sure. When making a guest list, keep in mind both humans and dogs can be invited. Try to invite only dogs you know, so you know they won't be aggressive and ruin the wedding.
  • Question
What is the benefit of your dog getting married?
    Community Answer
I don't think there really is a benefit of your dog getting married. It's just for fun!!
  • Question
What should I do if one of the dogs starts misbehaving?
    Community Answer
Just take a quick break to calm the dog down, or cut the ceremony short and let the dogs run free.
  • Question
How long does it take to plan the wedding?
    Community Answer
It would probably only take a few hours or so.
  • Question
Should I bake a dog wedding cake for my dogs, or is that too silly?

  • Question
My BFF & I want to marry our dogs. We want the dogs to be involved in the planning, but don't know how. Anybody got any ideas?
    AZbell Writing Angel

If you want your dogs to get married and then want them to be involved, put options in front of them to choose the last one they sniffed or touch that's what they want, so that way they can still be involved.
  • Question
Should I feel silly that I'm throwing my dog a wedding?
    AZbell Writing Angel
    Community Answer
It's okay to feel silly about it, but if it's what you want for your pups or cats, it's okay.
  • Question
    Should I hire a priest?
    AZbell Writing Angel
    Community Answer
It's probably best not to bother a priest about it. As a pet owner, you can do it yourself. You don't have to be certified. It doesn't even have to be documented that dogs or cats are married.
  • Question
Where is a good place for a dog bachelor party?
    Otterly Badgerific
    Top Answerer
Some good places for a dog bachelor party would be those that allow for plenty of exercise, free running and chances to play. Such places would include the beach, a park where dogs are allowed, hiking trails with open spaces for stopping to play, someone's large backyard, etc. Discuss with the other dog owners where they'd like to go so you can all agree on a suitable place, and be sure to check it's okay to have dogs there, and especially whether the dogs are allowed to run freely for a time.
  • Question
How do I know who to invite?
    Otterly Badgerific
    Top Answerer
It's best to invite people who appreciate the idea of dog weddings, and all things delightfully doggy. Don't invite people who say this is nonsense or grouch about the concept - they'll spoil the party. Choose friends, family members and fellow dog lovers who have already expressed joy at the idea of a dog wedding. And if anyone you'd really like to be there seems reticent, remind them it's a good excuse for a fun party where they'll be around good human companions too.
  • Question
Could a dog marry the same dog?
    Otterly Badgerific
    Top Answerer
It's not really clear what you're asking but perhaps you mean would it be possible for one dog to marry several other dogs? If so, there's no rule against it - if you would like one dog to have several dog spouses, then it'd be okay provided the human companions agree.
