At age 12 many children undergo a growth spurt, but not everyone does. Some start earlier, some later. Not knowing how tall your friends are, it's hard to know if they are just taller than average. But it is likely you are not yet at your full adult height, whatever that will be.

Oddly, a little of both. Good sitting posture shows how tall your true height is, while slouching will make one look shorter. People with poor posture actually can shrink a little bit in old age because the spine get compressed by poor posture.
