  • Question
Can I put loose tea in one of the K-cups for loose coffee and make it in a Keurig?
    Community Answer
Technically yes, but it's not going to be very strong. You'd have to grind it into almost a powder first.
  • Question
If I use a coffeemaker just to heat water, do I need the basket? Is it better for the machine to leave it in?

    Community Answer
If it's an electric percolator, it might need it to function properly. In a drip style, the basket is just a basket you can lift in or out, so it's optional. You can just use a stone tea pot for heating water too.
  • Question
How many tablespoons of loose ground tea do I need in an automatic coffee maker?
    Community Answer
You will usually need 2, but if you like strong tea then 3 is the maximum that you should use.
  • Question
If I have tea in powder form can I just put it in the coffee maker basket and brew it like coffee
    Community Answer
You could, but if the powder is very fine, it might seep through into the pot. Also, if it is a tee requiring a longer steep, like black tea, you may not get the desired results.
  • Question
Are there remains left on the cloth?
    Community Answer
If it is a dissolving powder of tea, then no, but an herb mix will have extra mass left over.
  • Question
Do I need to use a coffee filter when making tea in a coffee pot?
    Community Answer
No. You do not need to use a filter.
  • Question
Can I reheat cool coffee in glass carafe of coffee maker without water in the reservoir?
    Community Answer
Yes. All it is doing is just heating up the pot, and the lack of water does not affect it.
