The alarm will make noise when someone opens the door, if it has been armed. The buzzer loudness depends upon what type of buzzer you use. They may be VERY loud or only loud enough to "announce" an intruder (like a distant doorbell), as you choose.
  • Question
But wouldn't I need to glue it each and every time someone enters the room, and how do I close the buzzer?

No, the string attached to the door pulls out the insulating cardboard, activating the alarm. To stop the alarm you need a different piece of cardboard (or a switch to disconnect the battery), but to re-arm the alarm you simply replace the cardboard insulator (which is attached to the string that is attached to the door) by clamping it between the wires in the clothes pin.

  • Question
How do I prevent the door alarm from going off when I enter the room?
    Community Answer
You need to reset it after every use. Just don't reset it after you leave the room. If you want to reset it after you leave the room, it's really not a big deal if it goes off. The purpose is to alert you if someone has entered the room so if it goes off as you're walking in, that's fine.
