    Expert Answer
Running is always going to be your number one priority if you're trying to improve your footwork. Running more than 5 miles regularly will help with recovery in between rounds. Sprinting uphill a few days every week is great as well, since this can kind of simulate the chaos of a fight.
  • Question
What is the color of the beginner belt in taekwondo?
    Community Answer
When you begin taekwondo, you will get a white belt and move up from there. You then get a yellow belt, orange belt, then green belt. Higher rank belt colors vary depending on what taekwondo group you are in.
  • Question
Can I learn taekwondo even if I'm slightly fat? My friend told me that I wouldn't be able to.
    Community Answer
No, being fat does not matter. Taekwondo will help you to become more fit. Do not believe what your friend told you, if you want to try taekwondo, you should do it.
  • Question
I am being bullied by my mates, and I don't have balance or power to fight, will learning taekwondo be easy for me in this condition?
    Community Answer
You could still learn taekwondo. However, if you do not think you are ready to join taekwondo classes because of balance or power, I would first recommend you do strength training exercises like push-ups, pull-ups, squats, sit-ups, some weightlifting, and practice some taekwondo techniques. You can also watch some tutorial videos on taekwondo and practice it on a heavy bag or in the air.
  • Question
Can I train taekwondo and master all the techniques at home?
    Community Answer
You can definitely learn by yourself, but if you want to progress the best you can it's always better to have an instructor of some sort. If you have any friends interested in martial arts you could possibly try to train with them and you could try to correct each other's stances, etc. It is also good to train with someone else because it keeps you motivated. If you can, go to a class with a trained instructor, but if that's off the table, then it's better that you learn it yourself than not learning it at all.
