  • Question
If you are in the middle of hiding, do you just immediately go to your base if you hear the people trying to find you?
    Community Answer
Depends on how confident you are in your hiding spot. If they see you, or you're not sure that you're safe, it might be a good idea to move. If you're confident that you won't be seen, though, there's no need to move.
  • Question
Can I play Manhunt with only two players?
    Community Answer
Yes, but it would be rather boring. One person would hunt down the other person, and it would be over very quickly. It would be more engaging with a few more players.
  • Question
In what ways can a manhunt be dangerous?
    Community Answer
The game should not be dangerous as long as you take common-sense safety precautions. Play in a safe area, avoid busy streets and moving vehicles, make sure you don't fall into a ditch or lake or something, etc.
  • Question
How can I get better at Manhunt in the woods?
    Community Answer
Wear a camouflage sheath of leaves or dark clothing to fit in with your surroundings better.
  • Question
Do I need to play Manhunt outside?
    Community Answer
You can play indoors, though that might limit your options for hiding spots a bit. Just make sure you have permission from your parents to play in the house.
  • Question
Manhunt was just introduced to me indirectly by a neighbor talking to a shadow in the night whose voice came out of the darkness, "We're playing man hunt." Is this not dangerous, as it can be on unlit roads?
    Community Answer
If you mean playing manhunt on unlit roads, then yes, it is extremely dangerous. The game itself is not dangerous, but depending on where you play it or who you play it with, it can be very dangerous.
  • Question
    What does a hunter do?
    Community Answer
The hunter tags the hiders. It is like hide and seek but fun at night. Remember to say 123 manhunt when you tag the other player.
  • Question
Are there two teams of hiders, or one team of hunters and another of hiders?
    Community Answer
Depends on how you play. You can have three teams, two hider teams and a single hunter, or a hunter team vs a hider team.
  • Question
Can I play Manhunt at school?
    Community Answer
Yes, but be sure not to exceed the boundaries of the school and use areas of your playground as the bases.
  • Question
Can you play with 3 people?
    Community Answer
Of course you can! It would probably be more fun with 4-8 people, though. More of a challenge for the hunter(s).
  • Question
Are 4 players enough to play?
    GlitterGirl01
    Community Answer
Four players are enough, but many people choose to gather more people that want to play.
  • Question
Where can I hide if I am playing in a place that has no woods?
    Community Answer
You could hide behind rocks, cars (if you know for a fact that it's not moving anytime soon), houses, etc.
  • Question
    Can you disqualify another team?
    Community Answer
It depends on what the rules are for your individual game. Touching the other team's base is against the rules in this version, so doing that would disqualify the individual player that did it. Under normal rules, it would be very difficult to disqualify an entire team. It would take some sort of group action to warrant them being barred from that game.
  • Question
Would it be okay if we used some sort of identification tag -- like a band on the arm for hiders and on the head for hunters -- to make identifying each other easier and with no chance of lying?
    Community Answer
That would be a very smart idea. It would clear up who is who with no chance of lying about it.
  • Question
I'm gonna be playing a game where it's girls vs. guys. How can I give the girls an advantage?
    Community Answer
Give the girls a little extra time to hide. If there is a even amount of players, have one of the guys sit out for a round to give the girls more players on their team.
  • Question
Is there a variation where "manhunt" is technically "infected"?
    Community Answer
It depends on your rules. Someone might prefer to play so that if you are tagged, you're out. However, some people play so that if you're tagged, you become a hunter. This mode would count as "infected."
  • Question
    Can I use a flashlight?
    Community Answer

  • Question
When I find someone and multiple people are near them, are they allowed to choose who gets them?
    Community Answer
