Some people place strips of tape around their cuticles to keep their skin totally clean while they're painting their nails. You could try that to totally keep the polish off, but it is going to take a while to set up!
  • Question
What can I use if I have a cut near where I have to take off the nail polish?
    Community Answer
Try taking a nice, long bath, about 15 to 20 minutes. You can try scrubbing at the area with some soap and a loofa or a face/body buffing sponge. You could also try wiping it off with some baby oil or olive oil. Do not use any nail polish remover, not even a non-acetone one. It will sting.

Using water won't help much, and acetone and nail polish remover are too harsh for her skin. In the bath, use a soap and a loofa or sponge to gently rub the polish off. Before bed, put lotion, Vaseline, or moisturizer on her to help the polish loosen up, it should come off after several nights.

First of all, take a hot shower (or soak your hand in hot water) to help loosen the polish. Use either soap or a body wash to lather your hands. Repeat this several times. When you sleep, it should start chipping away on its own a bit. Get some nail polish remover as soon as possible.

First of all, when you want to remove nail polish, there might be a peel off base coat that you could look into. You could look it up on the internet or browse a store to check (in Target/Walmart, there are lots of different base coats and top coats, etc.).
