How about sewing it by hand, since I have no sewing machine?

When sewing a zipper by hand, use a backhand stitch or other strong stitch to secure it in place. There will be a lot of pressure on the stitching as the zipper is opened and closed. Use article images for correct positioning of the zipper and stitching lines.
