You said I should install a second battery into the digital clock. How?

Some clocks are designed so that the batteries are inserted in a straight line, but sometimes only one can be seen. If only one battery is inserted, it will slide back and forth. Slide it completely into the hidden area, then put the other battery in right behind it, facing the same way. Be sure that proper polarity is observed when inserting them: the flat end is negative (-), the raised bump end is positive (+). Other clocks have the batteries inserted side-by-side and both should be easily visible. They are normally inserted in opposite directions, though there are a few exceptions.
