QuestionIs it bad for hair to straighten it all the time?Community AnswerYes! Heat kills your hair. It will damage the ends especially (since they're not constantly growing) and will cause them to split. Occasional heat is all right, but don't go straightening your hair every day.

Also, make sure that you are straightening dry (not wet) hair. If your hair is still frizzy afterwards, apply some smoothing oil to your hair, such as Argan or coconut.

QuestionI blow dry then straighten my curly hair so after I blow dry do I use my heat protect spray that I have or before I blow dry my hair?Misty SandlinCommunity AnswerYou can use your spray both before blow drying your hair and again before straightening it. Personally I've never found a product that keep my hair from getting frizzy after blow drying, so I usually wash my hair at night then straighten in the morning after it's dried overnight. But yes, I'd recommend using your heat protecting spray before both drying and straightening, especially before the straightening as your hair is coming into direct contact with the heat source.
