QuestionHow do I stop spam from the same source (exact same formatting) if the unsubscribe button does not remove me from their list?Community AnswerGo to the site and click on "Change email." Make yourself a new e-mail. Give that new address to the site. Never check this e-mail, and only give it to junk sites.

QuestionWhat do I do if I have been doing this to all email for several months and the same ones keep arriving?Community AnswerSuggestion(outlook/exchange): Create a filter using words that are in every copy of the spam message you continue to receive which sends the message to a spam filter (for now) after verifying it is not catching anything you want you can edit the filter to auto delete these messages as well as add it to your spam list for you. You can also do this same sort of thing for a list of keywords you know are linked to spam. (for example maybe "Viagra" )

QuestionHow do I know if unsubscribe links are legitimate?Community AnswerIn general, you don't. Reputable sites generally have valid unsubscribe links, but there are many sites set up to mimic reputable ones. If you hover the mouse cursor over the unsubscribe link, some browsers will display the actual address that the link points to, but this can also be faked by cleverly designed pages. The moral: be skeptical.

QuestionI used to be able to unsubscribe from a lot of junk mail, then they started forcing you to put your email address into the unsubscribe. What should I do?Community AnswerCategorize the mails as spam/junk and you should stop receiving them; the mail system should remove the mail senders from your receive list.

QuestionWhen I select "unsubscribe to an email", I receive a request to enter my email address. Is this safe? The sender had my address to send the junk email to begin with.Community AnswerIt's annoying, but not harmful. They have your email address, but are using a cheaper "unsubscribe" app that can't link your email to your unsubscribe request. You will have to manually enter it in order to get off their mailing list.
