  • Question
How do I locate another GPS user?
    Community Answer
I'm not sure if you can locate another GPS user on the Android itself, but I do know if you want to locate a friend or family member, Life360 is the best one out there! It's free and you can see the person's location and where they have been before. You can even contact them from the app. They also show you where registered sex offenders are in your area.
  • Question
How can I send my location to my friend using the GPS in my smartphone?
    Community Answer
If you're using an iPhone, there is an app called "Find Friends." This allows you to share your location with anyone in your contact list that also has an iPhone.
  • Question
Why is it that even though I have already enabled my GPS, there's still a message that says GPS not found?
    Community Answer
It may take a while for your device to completely locate you, but most of time you have to be outside in order for this to happen successfully.
  • Question
For GPS navigation, do I want to enable mobile data?
    Community Answer
Yes. Without mobile data, you won't be able to track your location. It will just be a map of the route you have selected.
  • Question
My GPS said "I am sorry, I didn't understand you" to me today. What is that? I've never had it talk to me before?
    Community Answer
It couldn't hear you properly. Try speaking louder and more clearly, or just type in your destination.
  • Question
Is there anything else I can do if, after doing all of the suggested steps, I still can't find my GPS location?
    Community Answer
In the settings of both the app and the phone, make sure you have location turned on.
  • Question
Can Google Maps record where I go daily from the day I download the app?
    Community Answer
If any app in your phone has location tracking rights, it will probably utilize them as often as possible. However, this information is often used in a relatively harmless way to provide you fitting advertisements. It is also likely that these apps barely use the GPS and instead decide your location by other methods. Use Google Timeline to see what information Google has acquired about your travels over time.
