If you no longer own an HP Smart-associated device, you'll probably want to remove it from the HP Smart app on your Windows PC or Mac. This article will teach you the simple steps of removing a device from HP Smart, whether you're using the app on your computer, phone, tablet, or web. Quickly Remove a Device from the HP Smart App

Double-click the device in the HP Smart app to open its settings page. Scroll down to the bottom and click "Hide Printer" under the "Manage" header on the left. Click "Hide Printer" again to remove it.

Open the HP Smart app on your computer. HP Smart's app should be in your Start menu's list of apps, but you can also find it by typing hp smart into the Windows search bar or your Mac's Launchpad. HP Smart has a blue icon with a printer and tablet.
- Sometimes it takes several minutes to load all data for all HP devices in HP Smart.
- You can also remove devices from the HP Smart app on your Android, iPhone, or iPad. Just download the app from the Play Store for Android or the App Store for iOS, launch the app, and sign in. ^{[1]

Select the device you want to remove. Use the navigational arrow icons to scroll through linked HP printers and devices, then double-click the one you want to remove. This will take you to the Printer Settings page.
- If you're using the mobile HP Smart app, tap your printer, then skip to step 3 .
- If you are not taken to the Printer Settings page, click the blue Printer Settings tile at the bottom of the window.

Click Hide Printer . You'll see this under "Manage" in the left panel on a computer, and at the bottom of the menu on a phone or tablet. Don't worry—even though it says "Hide," this will still permanently remove your device from HP Smart.

Click Hide Printer to confirm. You'll see this button just below "Select Hide This Printer to remove it from the HP Smart App."

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete removal. The app will prompt you to confirm again before removing the device from the app. Once the printer is removed, it will no longer appear in the device list.
