Luckily, AT&T has the ability to unlock a phone that is locked to their network. There are a few requirements you will need to meet first. This wikiHow teaches you how to unlock your AT&T iPhone. 1. You can get this number by dialing *#06# . Your IMEI number will be automatically displayed on your screen. Write it down so that you can access it later.
  2. There are a few services online that will unlock your AT&T iPhone for a fee. The fee varies by service and there is some risk to using services like these. You will need to pay upfront and getting a refund can be difficult. Be sure to read reviews about the service you are choosing, to make sure they are above board. A good third-party website should also have a customer service number to assist you. The following are some third-party companies you can look into. [5]
    • DoctorSIM
    • UnlockBase
    • CellUnlocker.net
    • Unlock Radar
  3. All third-party services will require the IMEI number for your phone. Enter it to continue the unlock process.
    • Make sure the IMEI code is correct before you enter it. Entering the wrong IMEI code may result in you not getting an incorrect unlock code. Getting customer service if the unlock doesn't work may be difficult.
  4. The fees are constantly changing for unlock services as unlock servers come and go. You will most likely be paying around $50 to $200 to unlock the phone.
  5. The time it takes to receive your code varies by the service you choose, but expect to wait at least 48 hours. You should receive the code through the email address that you provided when you ordered the unlock.
  6. When you insert a SIM card that is not from the carrier the iPhone is locked to, it will ask you to enter an unlock code.
  7. If the unlock code is correct, this will unlock your iPhone.

  • Question
If I have already erased and restored the phone's factory settings, can I still have AT&T unlock it?
    Andy7716
    Community Answer
Yes, AT&T simply marks your iPhone's IMEI unlocked in their database so that you can use it with a non-AT&T SIM card. Restoring your iPhone does not affect it and is not really necessary to use it on a different network. All you need to do is connect to iTunes to sync the unlock. If you use AT&T's SIM card, you should receive a message saying "Congratulations, your device is unlocked!"
  • Question
How do I get my iPhone off the blacklist?
    Community Answer
    1. Go to iPhoneUnlock.Zone. 2. Type your IMEI number. 3. Type your UDID number (If you do not know it leave it blank – instructions of how to find it will be provided to you). 4. Type your e-mail address. 5. Proceed with the Order.
  • Question
Can a service like AttUnlocker.us unlock my AT&T iPhone?
    Andy7716
    Community Answer
In their FAQ, it says: "Yes, if there are no issues with the respective AT&T account (e.g. past unpaid bills, etc.)." Also, it says that they cannot unlock blacklisted devices. Therefore, not every iPhone can be unlocked by AttUnlocker.us. I would suggest you contact them and inquire about your particular situation.
