Do you want to upgrade your Netflix account? If you're tired of ads or want to share your membership, you can change your Netflix plan in your account settings. While you can't use the Netflix app, you can use the website in a mobile or desktop browser. It takes only a few clicks to find the option. Otherwise, you can go directly to netflix.com/ChangePlan. Here's how to change your Netflix plan on your computer, iPhone, or Android device.

  3. Tap Manage membership .

    Go to the Netflix account page on a mobile browser. If you aren't already logged into your account , you'll be prompted to enter your email address and password.
    • While you can't use the Netflix app to change your plan, you can use the website on a mobile browser. You can also go directly to netflix.com/ChangePlan.
    • You can manage your Netflix account from any profile aside from a Kids profile.

    Select a new plan. You should see your current plan with a blue checkmark. Currently, the available plans are:
    • Standard with ads : Full HD (1080p) video with ad breaks and downloads on up to 2 devices at once. This plan does not support account sharing with members outside the household.
    • Standard : Full HD (1080p) video ad-free with downloads on up to 2 devices at once. This plan supports sharing with members outside the household.
    • Premium : Ultra HD (4k) video, HDR, and spatial audio ad-free with downloads on up to 6 devices at once. This plan supports sharing with members outside the household.

    Tap Continue . You may need to scroll down to find this button. It's at the very bottom of the page.
    • If you don't already have a payment method linked to your account, you may be prompted to add one now.
    • A pop-up window will open.

    Tap Confirm . Your new plan will begin after your current billing period ends.
