If you’re not sure where to find your Gmail address book, you’re in luck. In Gmail, your addresses and contacts are managed through the Contacts app. You can access it using the Contacts app on mobile devices, or using the web application in a web browser. Easily Access Your Gmail Address Book
- Open Gmail in a web browser.
- Click the icon with nine dots in the upper-right corner.
- Click Contacts in the list of apps.
- Use the Google Contacts app to access your address book on mobile devices.

Sync your contacts. You can access your Gmail contacts using the Google Contacts app. First, you’ll want to sync your contacts. Use the following steps to do so: [1] X Research source

- Tap the Gear icon to open the Settings menu.
- Tap Google .
- Tap the All services tab.
- Tap Google Contacts sync .
- Tap Also sync device contacts .
- Ensure Automatically back up & sync device contacts is on.
- Select the Gmail account you want to backup below “Backup account.”

Open the Google Contacts app. It has a white icon with a blue silhouette of a person. Tap the Google Contacts app to open it.

Tap the drop-down menu at the top. You should see a drop-down menu next to an icon that resembles two people. This displays a list of Google accounts connected to your Android.

Make sure "All Contacts" or your Gmail account is selected. If another option is selected, switch it to the account associated with your Gmail address or the All contacts setting so your Gmail contacts appear. Once you do this, your Gmail address book contacts will be easy to find in your Contacts.

Open your iPhone or iPad's Settings. Look for the Settings cog icon on your home screen. It resembles two silver gears.

Tap Contacts . It is in the center with a person icon. This displays your contacts, where you will find all of your contacts, including iPhone contacts. Contacts from your Gmail address book are also included in this list once synced.

Display only Gmail contacts. If you only want to see contacts from your Gmail address book, you can do so from here:
- Tap Lists on the top-left to view your contact lists.
- Tap All Gmail to view your Gmail address book.

Go to mail.google.com or www.google.com in a web browser. You can access Google Apps from your Gmail account, the main Google homepage, or any other Google service on the internet.

Add a contact. To add a contact to your Gmail address book:
- Click Create contact in the upper-left corner.
- Click Create a contact in the drop-down menu.
- Enter their first and last name, work and job title, email address, phone number, and birthday. You can also add any notes you want to add.
- Click Save in the upper-right corner.

Delete a contact. To delete a contact, hover your mouse cursor over the contact you want to delete. Click the icon with three dots ( â‹® ) to the right of the contact. Then click Delete in the menu.
- To delete multiple contacts, click the checkbox to the left of the contacts you want to delete. Then click the icon with three dots ( â‹® ) in the upper-right corner above your contacts list. Then click Delete .

Merge duplicate contacts. To merge duplicate contacts, click Merge & fix in the menu bar to the left. Then click Merge duplicates . Review the duplicates that have been found and click Merge in the box to the left.

Add labels to contacts. You can use labels to group contacts in your address book. To create a new label:
- Click the plus sign ( + ) next to “Labels” in the menu bar to the left.
- Enter a name for the label and click Save .
- To assign a contact to a label, hover over a contact with your mouse cursor and click the icon with three dots ( â‹® ) to the right of the contact.
- Click the label you wish to assign to that contact.
- Click the labels in the menu to the left to sort your contacts by label.
