Try sorting through your stuff one room or section at a time, and decide to keep, donate, or throw away/recycle what you no longer need. One way to declutter your space is to cull items that don't reflect who you are right now . In other words, you might be certain future you will have time to devote to learning how to knit, but if present you doesn't, it's time to donate your knitting needles and skeins of yarn. And while you may feel emotionally attached to items, if they don't serve a purpose, no longer fit, or are broken or worn out, it's probably best to let them go.

Decluttering really comes down to three steps. The first step is to sort through all of your stuff and separate everything into categories. Then, go through each category one at a time and purge the things you don't want or need anymore. Finally, organize everything that's left by finding a good place for it.

when looking at your things ask yourself if it makes you happy or if you would regret getting rid of it
