Even if he's shy there are still ways you can tell if he might be into you. Like if he makes an effort to spend a lot of time with you and hang out with you, that could mean he has feelings for you. Even if he doesn't say much when the two of you are spending time together, the fact that he wants to spend all that time with you is a good sign!

I've also had crushes on shy guys! And one of those shy guys is now my boyfriend :) Something that clued me into his feelings for me was that he would remember so many little things that I told him, even if it was just a tiny detail that I mentioned offhandedly one time.
