Perhaps you want to take a break from Tinder. Maybe you found someone, or you're just tired of dead-end conversations. However, you don't want to lose all your matches and conversations. Luckily, there are other options. This wikiHow teaches you how to pause and hide your Tinder account. Tinder Plus members can also go incognito.

- Tap the profile icon in the Tinder app.
- Tap the gear icon.
- Scroll down and tap Delete account .
- Tap Pause My Account .

Tap your profile icon. It's the icon that resembles a person. It's in the lower-right corner. Pausing your account will put it on hold and log you out. Other users will not see your profile in the card stack. You will not be able to continue any conversations you have going. When you log back in, your account will be restored.
- Cancel any subscriptions you might have. If you subscribe to Tinder Plus, Gold, or Platinum, you will want to cancel it before you continue. Pausing your account does not automatically cancel your subscriptions. Scroll down and tap Delete Account . It's at the bottom of the Settings menu.

Tap Pause My Account . This is the first option you are offered when you delete your account. Pausing your account will prevent you from appearing in the card stack for other users. However, you can still keep your current matches and conversations.
- If you decide to go all the way and delete your Tinder account , you will lose your entire account along with all your matches and conversations . If you want to return to Tinder, you will need to create a new account .
