What is the process to be saved? I have heard some Christians say that once you are baptized in Jesus's name, then you are saved.

Various gifts are received by the Holy Spirit and are assigned to each believer separately. For example, one person may receive the gift of prophesy, another the gift of evangelism. God gives each believer specific spiritual gifts, via the Holy Spirit, so each and every believer is equipped with the appropriate tools for them to serve in the ministry of Jesus' church. To answer your question, for someone to receive spiritual gifts, the Holy Spirit must live within them. The Holy Spirit begins to reside in a believer as soon as they are reborn.
