First, start by appreciating the creativity you already have and remembering that creativity is a skill/muscle that can be exercised and strengthened. Then, try out new things that get your juices flowing. The important thing is to commit to practicing creativity regularly—once a day or once a week.

You can start by starting to think and act 'outside the box!' Try something different such as a different tv network, a different genre of book, a new style look, or a different haircut. At least research something really different even if you don't actually try that thing right away. Bookmark it!

One idea for you would be to bracket time for schoolwork, and then get really creative with the time you have left. What can you eliminate from your daily schedule to devote to writing? Make a writing schedule for the week, and stick to it. Best of luck!
