  • Question
What do I do about the fear of failing Christ?

Remember that the spirit of fear is from the enemy, so rebuke it. In God, there is no fear. Cast all your cares on Him, for He cares for you. Serve Him to the best of your ability.
  • Question
I have accepted Jesus and failed many times. Will he keep forgiving me?

He has already forgiven you. That's what he did when he died on the cross. Jesus already knew about all of your sins when he died for you. He knows everything that has happened and ever will happen.
  • Question
Why am I still alive even though I have sinned beyond measure?
    EliZora

  • Question
I am afraid to fully commit to Jesus. What can I do to ease these fears?
    Community Answer
There's nothing to be afraid of, you are giving your life to the Lord. To ease your fears, spend time with him - through prayers, good acts, praise/worship, and be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Remember, God is love. He gave his only begotten son to die for your sins, he laid down his own life just for you, that's how much he loves you. Don't be afraid, he's protecting you from evil.
  • Question
What if I am unsure of my salvation? What can I do to be sure that I am truly saved?
    Community Answer
Read the Bible and find verses proving Jesus is God and Savior. Read the book of Romans, Galatians, and Ephesians. These are epistles explaining that getting saved is not by your holiness, goodness, or sinlessness. God accepts that you are a sinner and He is glad if you accept it too. Believe that Jesus has saved and forgiven you through His death on the cross. One can only be sure of eternal life when he believes that Jesus paid the penalty of his sin.
  • Question
How do I forgive my children for doing wrong things?

Remember that all sins should be forgiven if the sinner is repentant.
  • Question
Does this mean that only the Gospel can save me?
    Community Answer
Yes, the true gospel of Jesus will save you once you accept Him and confess your sins. Jesus died for you to have eternal life.
  • Question
What if I believe in Jesus but keep on committing the same sin over and over again?
    Community Answer
Because we are humans, we are full of sin. Everyone has sins they struggle with, and some sin more than others. The most you can do is pray and trust that the holy spirit will guard your heart and lead you not into temptation. Just remember that Jesus is greater than all your sin and all your victories. It is by grace you have been saved.
  • Question
How will I know if I'm saved?
    Community Answer
Jesus died on the cross for us because we ALL are sinners, and Jesus is the only perfect one, and he and he alone died on the cross for us to take our place of destruction. God, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are one, God is the only God in the universe, and He loves us and takes care of us and knows us. If you understand all of this and you agree and you admit that everyone, even you yourself, is a sinner, then you are saved.
  • Question
Does He give up on us?
    Community Answer

  • Question
If someone has killed, will the Lord forgive them?
    Abbey Beaton

Here's how I felt when I got saved. After I finished praying for Jesus Christ to save me from my sins, my heart felt instantly heavy, then light! • Question
I'm confused, is this saying I need to repent of my sins and then believe in Jesus?

  • Question

I feel so worthless at times and want to harm myself but God stops me. Why do I feel this way?

  • Question
How do I save my family?

  • Question
Why do you say that baptism is not a requirement for salvation? I'm just trying to understand it.
    Community Answer
Saying that baptism is a requirement for salvation would mean that there is something we have to do before we can receive it. The word of God tells us that there is nothing we can do to earn it, meaning it is not given based on our works. Salvation is a free gift to all who believe in Jesus and His finished work on the cross. It is unmerited favor, unearned mercy. It is an act of God's love toward us. All we must do is believe it to receive it.
  • Question
I've listened to a sermon that said I have to speak in tongues in order to get into heaven. Is this true?
    Community Answer
No. The gift of tongues is given to some people and not to others. It has nothing to do with whether you have faith or not.
  • Question
How can I be saved through Jesus Christ if I am a drug addict?
    Community Answer
Ask for forgiveness and forgive yourself. Start reading the Bible and understand what Acts 2:38-39 means. God is merciful and he will love you regardless of your past.
  • Question
How many times should a person get baptized?
    Community Answer
Usually only once, after they get saved. However, if they were baptized before they found out about being saved (i.e. as a baby), then they should be baptized again after being saved.
  • Question
Why do you have baptism as part of salvation?
    Community Answer
Baptism is an outward expression of an inward decision, similar to a wedding ring. It shows that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior by identifying with him in His death, burial (immersion in water), and resurrection (emerging from the water). Baptism is not a requirement for salvation, however.
  • Question
How can I stop sinning and learn to do what God wants me to do?
    Community Answer
Read the word of God. Most reliable Bible is the King James version. It will of course be hard but you can handle it. God will help you through everything. Read Acts 2:38-39.
  • Question
Do I have to be baptized to be a Christian?
    Community Answer
The thief on the cross had no way of being baptized, yet God said he'd be in heaven with him that very day. However, this is a rare case. Baptism is a way of declaring publicly your commitment to God, and I would strongly encourage you to do it.
  • Question
What if my parents don't go to church, so I can't get baptized?
    Community Answer
You can still accept Jesus into your heart, even in the quiet of your room. You could also get baptized later on when you're capable of getting to or joining a church without your parents.
