  • Question
Can a Muslim girl or fat girl participate in the pageant?
    Community Answer
Yes! There are no rules about religion or faith, and personality is often more important than looks. Don't let anything stop you from pursuing your dream to be a beauty queen.
  • Question
What do I do if I have a gap in my teeth?
    Community Answer
Don't worry about it! It's great to have something unique like this, don't think of it as a flaw. There are supermodels with gaps in their teeth.
  • Question
Must a beauty queen be skinny?
    Community Answer
No, you do not need to be skinny to be a beauty queen. Your weight doesn't matter and you should appreciate your body exactly the way that it is.
  • Question
How do I know what questions will be asked in a beauty pageant audition?

It says it in the article that it will be based off the paperwork you turned in to participate in the pageant. Look up some beauty pageant interviews on YouTube or talk to someone who has been in a pageant interview.
  • Question
Can pole dancing be a talent at a beauty pageant?
    Community Answer
It depends on what beauty pageant you're participating in. I believe it would be fine, but make sure it's appropriate for your age.
  • Question
I want to get into pageants, but I'm scared of not being taken seriously. How should I tell my parents I want to do pageants?
    Community Answer
Tell them how you really want to do this, that you're passionate about pageants. Explain to them what it means to you and why you want to. You'll never know if they'll take you seriously if you don't go for it.
  • Question
How do I walk in a pageant?
    Community Answer
Avoid high heels, as they can make you fumble even when you practice and increase the chances of accidents on the runway. Other than that, stand strait and tall (good posture is key), look straight forward (royalty never looks back), and smile! Dazzle the daylights out of those judges!
  • Question
Do I have to buy my own dresses for beauty pageants?
    Community Answer
No, there's no rule that says you have to buy your own dress. You can make your own if you want. And likely it would really impress the judges if you did.
  • Question
How can I participate in a pageant if I’m too shy to be in front of an audience because I am too worried I will embarrass myself?
    Community Answer
Anyone can participate in a pageant. You may think there's a "perfect pageant personality" but pageant winners have a wide variety of hobbies and interests and a good deal of them are shy, but they don't let their shyness get in the way. Try to calm yourself down by doing things that relax you on the day of the competition, like listening to music or soaking in a hot tubn. Deep breathing exercises help a lot, also.
