As a large part of lobbying is simply networking to advocate for something you are extremely passionate about, there is no required education. However, in order to be good at what you do and turn socialization into an effective and persuasive meeting, you will want to have background knowledge on your cause. It is helpful to have a bachelors degree to be able to discuss important issues you want legislators to bring to the House.

There are a couple of excellent ones: Mary Lynn Cullin works for the Children's Advocacy Institute. Patsy Ekel is a veteran of the battles. Jim Horne is a retired legislator who works with Steve Wise. The one legislators respect most is Theresa Bulger, but she is hard to get because she is tireless on an issue and only works those she believes in. There are some others that talk a good game, but they don't get much accomplished.
