Yes. Each state has different laws, regulations, requirements, etc. Additionally, counties and cities can have specific requirements within their regions/municipalities. Having a license in another state certainly can help make the task of acquiring your TX license less daunting, but be sure to understand the differences between your currently held license and your new one. If you answer a question incorrectly (even though it's right in CA), you still get the answer wrong.
