It depends on the terms and conditions. It is highly likely that the terms and conditions contain a clause that allows the provider to remove any channel they please due to any reason. The main reasons for ceasing a channel would be that the channel has stopped been produced, the costs have gone up to provide it (hence, the package might go up too) or the company changes hands. If you want to keep the channel and it still exists, call your provider to discuss options. However, do not assume you're discussing a breach of contract because the terms and conditions have likely already dealt with that, so read those first or see your lawyer.

It is likely you will, as you'll probably have agreed to terms and conditions that allowed them to vary content and still expect you to keep paying till the end of the contract term. Always give them a credit card that you rarely use so that if you cancel early, you can just cancel the credit card.
