If baking soda doesn't work, try a commercial cleaner. Bon Ami is a chemical-free cleaning agent that is non-toxic and eco-friendly. The cleaner works hard on tough stains, and it's been around since 1886.

Try using something like Dawn soap. If that doesn't work, try vinegar and baking soda, or a lemon cleanser. As a last resort, try bleaching the sink. You could also try Goo Gone.

Depending on what your taps are made of, it is possible. Baking soda is abrasive, and can scratch or dull ceramic sinks and fixtures. Vinegar is acidic, and can cause corrosion if left on a surface for too long.

  • Question
I understand now how to clean my black ceramic sink, but how do I bring the luster back?
    Community Answer
Sprinkle a little bit of baking soda on it and spray it with an all-purpose bathroom cleaner (that's safe for ceramic as well). Let sit for 5 minutes. Then, use a scrub patty (mine's from the Dollar Store) to scrub the mixture all over the inside of your sink. Rinse of with water and wipe the sink down with a clean microfiber cloth.
