  • Question
What are some suggestions for drawing inspiration?

Draw things you love. When you're studying, you can draw what the subject is all about, and you'll enjoy revising.
  • Question
What are some basic pictures that you can draw?
    Community Answer
Draw pictures based on simple lines and curves, like apples, clouds, the sun or stick figures. Keep practicing simple figures until you are comfortable moving on to more advanced work.
  • Question
How can I draw a picture with intricate details?
    Community Answer
Practice by copying another picture. Look at it and try to separate it in your mind into different shapes. Start by drawing the outline and gradually add in more detail. Pictures with intricate details depend as much on time as on ability. Spend time working on the picture and adding details.
  • Question
How do I start drawing as a beginner?
    Community Answer
Since you are a beginner, you probably won't need much more than a cheap set of pencils, erasers, sharpeners, colored pencils, etc. Watch videos, and practice on improving your art. Sign up for some classes. Draw anything and everything. Most of all, practice.
  • Question
What is an easy way to make shapes?
    Community Answer
You can use a ruler for any polygons. Consider buying a compass, as it makes perfect circles every time.
  • Question
How do I draw a person's face while I am watching them?
    CLARISSA SWEETLAND
    Community Answer
Don't. Instead, try using a reference photo. People will never stand perfectly still, and that WILL mess you up.
  • Question
How can I learn to draw well with ideas straight out of my head?
    Community Answer
Like anything else, you have to practice a lot to get better. If you want to draw using images from your head, practice doing so.
  • Question
What materials do I need to draw like a pro?
    Gabrielle Laprise
    Community Answer
You will need some HB pencils from approximately 6h to 8b (available in any art store). You will also need a blender (there are many sizes, based on what you usually draw), a bread crumb eraser, and a special sketchbook that you will use only for your drawing (preferably a special sketchbook designed for drawing). Personally, I have a sketchbook for each medium I use: pastels, chalks, coloring pencils, normal pencils and aquarelle.
  • Question
How do I start drawing when I'm a beginner?
    Community Answer
Try drawing shapes - clouds, circles, hexagons, squares, literally any shape. Once you've got that down, start trying to draw facial features, like noses, ears, eyes, and eyebrows, and then start drawing torsos, legs, feet, heads and shoes, then put those all together. Then you'll have a body! That could inspire you to make more stuff! There are also great YouTube tutorials showing you how to draw just about anything, and most people find these really helpful.
  • Question
How do I draw like a pro if I want to be a great fashion designer and artist?
    Community Answer
If you want to be a fashion designer, think of clothes you have and like, or would like to have. Then, take parts of them, and add your own accessories. If you want to be an artist, follow the instructions on this Wikihow article.
  • Question
Should I show my friends my drawings? Or will it discourage me?
    Emery Cailin
    Top Answerer
If you think your friends will support you, then by all means show them. You can ask them for constructive criticism if you want it, and tell them how constructive criticism is different from hurtful criticism (it focuses on specific parts, and how to fix them, rather than general or unfixable complaints) if you think they need a refresher on it.
  • Question
I can draw the outer part of the face but the inner part I do horribly. Any ideas?
    Mailey Johnson
    Community Answer
Proportion the face, lightly. Draw a line down the middle, a line across for the features, eyebrows, eyes, nose, and mouth. Then draw the features and then you can erase the lines after you've drawn the features. You will soon get used to where everything on the face goes, and you won't need the lines anymore.
