Draw a curved line, like an upside down bracket. Then make the sides of it still round, but more straight. Do another curve for the bottom of it, but make the outer part face the top bit. Then do what you did for the side, to the other side. You have an eye shape, for the muzzle. Do a curved line, then add a dot under it, then add any expression you want underneath but make it attached to the dot, as this would be the muzzle and nose.
