  • Question
Should I pull out the nail on the drive to the mechanics?
    Community Answer
No, absolutely not! Removing the nail or screw allows the air pressure inside the tire to escape much faster, and you will end up driving on a flat tire. Do not remove the puncture item until you are at the place of repair.
  • Question
Where can I get air when I'm at home?

Your wheel is probably seized to the hub. Try putting the lug nuts halfway back on, lower the car and drive it (very slowly, of course) for a minute. The weight of the car on the wheel should break it loose.

  • Question
Do I have too replace a tire if the leak is on the outer edge of the tread?
    Community Answer

  • Question
I was told that a hot patch is better than a plug on a small hole. Is that true?
    Community Answer
Yes, a glued patch on the inside of the tire seals the hole for the life of the tire. Ensure the bond surface is buffed to fresh rubber, apply tire repair glue to the tire only, spread a thin layer, then allow to dry till no liquid (5-10 minutes) remains. Then apply the patch. Firmly press the patch to the tire.
