Begin to use products that fight against frizz (product may state "frizz-control" or something similar), use sulfate free shampoos, and use a t-shirt or a microfiber towel to remove excess water after shampooing. Applying a serum to the hair should help as well.
  • Question
How long will my beach wavy hair last?
    Community Answer
It can last about two days if it takes well. However, for some hair types, the waves can fall out within a few hours. Really, the duration lasts on your hair type, the humidity or lack of it and the wind.
  • Question

It depends on what type of hair you have. If your hair is thin, it will take a shorter amount of time to dry than someone with thicker hair.

You can gently blow dry your hair. It will give your curls some texture.
  • Question
What if I don't have hairspray; what can I use instead of hairspray?

You could make this mixture of two tablespoons of salt in half a litre of warm water. Pour it over your hair after shampooing and don't rinse it out.
  • Question
What if I don't have curling cream, is there anything else I can use?

You can use mousse. Apply when your hair is wet/damp, but don't apply a lot, or your hair will not have a thick, bouncy look to it.

    Community Answer
Do quick loose curls with an iron, or do one of these methods overnight and take it out quickly in the morning.
  • Question
I'm usually in a hurry to leave. Is there a beachy wave hairstyle that does not require wet hair?
    Community Answer
There is no fast way without heat. Planning ahead is your best option, by twisting wet/damp hair around a headband and creating a "crown", then leaving it in while you sleep and wake up with beautiful curls.

  • Question
What if I don't have any curling cream?
    Community Answer
You can apply a mousse to your hair while it's damp. If you don't have a mousse, you can use foamy soap as an alternative.
  • Question
What if I can't leave it overnight?
    Community Answer
You can braid your hair, and then get a straightener and clamp down on the braids for a few seconds. Repeat all over your hair and then take the braids out.
