Limit how often you wash your hair since washing your hair every day can dry it out. Avoid using heat styling tools regularly since heat can also damage your hair. Use hydrating shampoos, conditioners, and masks on a regular basis to keep your hair hydrated so it looks healthy when you curl it.

When you are rolling the hair onto your styling tool, lift the sections up to create more volume at the roots. Larger styling tools will create bigger, softer curls.

Steam rollers are my favorite because they use both heat and moisture to create a strong, long-lasting result. They also dry fairly quickly.

  • Question
Can I get curls with just a brush?
    Community Answer
You cannot get curls with just a brush, but you can get a wavy look. Brush your hair in small sections. As you pull down, twist and hold the hair with the brush for a few seconds and then let go to get a gently wave.
  • Question
How do I make flat iron curls bouncy?
    Community Answer
Try holding the curls flat in your hand for a few seconds until they are cool. You can fluff them up with your fingers, and then use hair spray to hold the volume.
  • Question
My hair is really long, thick and frizzy. Am I still able to achieve "big, bouncy curls"?

    Community Answer
It sounds redundant, but you may want to wash, dry, and straighten your hair, and then curl it. It always works for me. Make sure that you use some conditioner to soften it and make it a bit more flexible.
  • Question
I don't get how they explained the method with the curling iron. Could you be more specific?
    Community Answer
If the curling iron method is too complicated for you, try to use an "automatic rotating hair curler." it's extremely easy, and takes about 10 minutes or less to get your entire head done. You might find it easiest to use the one with the "tulip" shape. Instructions are included in the package.
