People with slow metabolisms may not see results for weeks or months. Try to rev up your metabolism by building muscle mass and consider activities which get your heart rate above 80% of your Heart Rate Maximum. That can help boost the metabolism. Interval training is a great choice for people with slow metabolisms.

Commit to exercising every day for at least 30 minutes. Walking is a good start, with a goal of running. Mark a smiley face on the calendar each day you exercise. Use a calorie calculator to see how many calories you are eating, and make a goal to lose weight by eating less. Learn to eat for nutrition -- get educated about what that means. Get a friend to join you in your weight loss goals. Be proud and determined, you are shooting toward a great, attainable goal.
