  • Question
Why do we need to vote?
    Community Answer
To select the person you think is best for the position and help shape the future of the government and country. If you don't care or are uninformed, you don't have to vote. But people who care about how the government works and have political opinions generally want to elect representatives who will help carry out the policies and vision for the country that they support. Voting can help make that happen.

Absolutely, so long as you meet all the requirements mandated by law for the office you're running for. It could be much more difficult, though, because your lack of education could be seen as an attacking point for your opponents.
