I just bought my fifth HDD, but Windows 10 won't boot anymore. I used GUID instead of MBR, no effect. Is there a limit to the number of HDDs?

Not under normal circumstances. When your computer boots, enter BIOS and make sure that your Windows drive is set first in the boot chain. Sometimes installing a new drive can alter this.
